SUNDAY SCHOOL: Our Sunday School program for our elementary-age children continues (on non-Communion Sundays)! We’re always looking for some more volunteers to help us staff our One Room Sunday School! We provide easy to follow curriculum, supplies and all that you need each week. If you would like to help engage our children more fully in the life of our congregation, please email Kimberly Servas @ servaskimberly@gmail.com. Thank you, Kimberly, and all our wonderful teacher volunteers!
BIBLE STUDY GROUP: Join together on Wednesdays, 1:00 pm, at RUMC as we continue another six week class, digging deeper into Scripture and what it means to live a life of faith. Our autumn study is from one of our favorite authors, Matt Rawle, who we’ve enjoyed in the past. This time, we’re studying his book, “Jesus Revealed: The I Am statements of Jesus.” Books are available in the narthex or ask Pastor Laura.
CHOIR NEWS: Choir always welcomes new members, so please see or contact Jon (jontenor1953@gmail.com) if interested in singing this Fall to join our fun! Rehearsals are at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday and on some Saturday mornings, as needed.
MFC PRESCHOOL NEWS: School joyously re-opened for the 2026-27 school year with many new exciting renovations! And would you like to donate a brick to the school entranceway? Go to: https://donate.brickmarkers.com/mfcp. Please contact Director, Danielle Celaj, director@methodistpreschool.org, or 203-655-7407, for more info about our wonderful Preschool.
ANNUAL CHARGE CONFERENCE: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH, 2 P.M, AT NEW CANAAN UMC. In our United Methodist tradition, each church gathers at least once a year with the District Superintendent to celebrate ministries of the past year, to look ahead and discuss the business of the church such as budgets, election of officers, approval of pastor’s salary. EVERYONE WHO IS A PART OF THE CONGREGATIONS OF DUMC AND RUMC ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS IMPORTANT MEETING! Our District Superintendent, Rev. Inkoo Chung, will meet with our Co-Operative Parish churches (Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Rowayton, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Pound Ridge, Norwalk) in a combined Charge Conference. All of our churches will gather for a shared time with Rev. Chung and then we’ll break out into individual meetings of our congregations. Please make every effort to attend!
CROSSLIT CONTINUES EVERY SCHOOL WEDNESDAY, 6:30 A.M.! High School students are all welcome to gather in prayer before school, in Faith Hall, with leader, Rev. Gary Morello!
STEWARDSHIP: Thank you for keeping your Stewardship Pledges/Donations current by using our website’s Online Giving Feature at www.umcdarien.org.
